2010 Lansing Home and Garden Show

Okemos Patio & Pool Project

This landscape project took place in Okemos, MI in the summer of 2008. BlueGrass Landscape was chosen to help design a patio and pool layout for the homeowner’s backyard. Many hours of design and choices where added by both BlueGrass and the homeowner. BlueGrass worked in conjunction with a pool contractor to install the pool, concrete and fencing. The pool was constructed from fiberglass which allowed for a quicker install. Around the pool, we wanted to provide a patio area for entertainment along with a fire pit.

There were many challenges within the project. The yard had a natural slope to the back yard. There was limited access for machinery and material. And the project had a budget to maintain. The project was completed in about 6 weeks and the result was more than what was expected.

Below are some images of the construction in progress. Final pictures will be added this year, allowing the new plants to fill in their natural space.
